General description of Make and/or Model of this Motorcar:
Currently and quite likely to remain the most powerful manual car ever put on the road by Porsche.
The RS was significantly lighter (by 70kg, thanks to carbon bits and plastic windows) than the regular GT2, so that extra 90hp provided a really noticeable performance boost. The chassis was dramatically overhauled, with new engine mounts alongside the usual spring, damper, and anti-roll bar changes. It was a very fast car even by the standards of 2010 and even today it takes no prisoners resulting in a very invigorating ride.
Being a 997, it retains sensible dimensions for use on UK roads combined with a hewn from solid, serious dashboard like it’s a proper old 911. Contemporary reports suggested it was actually reasonably docile at normal speeds and absolutely other worldly when asked the question. The six-speed manual enhancing the driver engagement that so many modern supercars lack....
Already a huge icon amongst Porsche enthusiasts, they drive as well as their reputation would suggest and are unlikely to be surpassed as the most powerful Porsche with a manual box.
Our car is a very rare, one-of-24 UK-supplied cars, number 350 of the 500 made,
