General description of Make and/or Model of this Motorcar:

Based heavily on Ferrari's ultra exclusive track only 599XX, the 599 GTO was announced on 8 April 2010. The 599 GTO - standing for Grand Turismo Omologato — was essentially a roadgoing version of the 599XX, and at launch was claimed to be the fastest production Ferrari ever built.

Powered by a 5,999 cc V-12 engine, the GTO produced 661 horsepower and could accelerate to 100 km/h in under 3.3 seconds. With an eye-watering top speed of 335 km/h, the GTO provided a thrilling driving experience for those lucky enough to sit behind the wheel. In addition to offering comparable performance to the track-focussed 599XX, the GTO inherited weight saving measures that reduced 100 kilograms from the kerb weight of its older sibling — the 599 GTB. Appropriately, Ferrari limited production to just 599 units worldwide.
